How Custom Agents Work

Custom agents are user-defined AI agents that automate operational tasks specific to your infrastructure. You define a system prompt, assign tools and skills, then run them on demand or on a schedule.

Unlike the built-in DevOps Agent capabilities — which focus on incident response, on-demand queries, and prevention — custom agents let you create purpose-built workflows for recurring operational work such as generating reports, auditing configurations, or orchestrating multi-step procedures.
