Workshops
.NET
- .NET Developer Dojo: This workshop is for .NET developers who have little to no experience with AWS. Participants will learn the basics of the platform by building series of .NET 8 applications using AWS.
- .NET workload on AWS with Elastic Beanstalk: This hands-on workshop will equip you with the skills to deploy and manage .NET applications on AWS Elastic Beanstalk, covering single-instance and high-availability setups, Windows and Linux environments, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Easily port .NET Frameworks apps to Linux with Amazon Q Developer .NET transformation capabilities: In this workshop, gain hands-on experience porting a .NET Framework application to cross-platform .NET. Use Amazon Q Developer .NET transformation capabilities, a modernization tool powered by generative AI that significantly reduces the time to migrate applications from Windows Server to Linux. Migrating to Linux helps you avoid additional licensing fees and gain performance and security benefits.
- AWS Microservice Extractor for .NET Workshop: This workshop will guide you through a step-by-step process of extracting an independent service from a monolithic ASP.NET application.
- Modernize your .NET and SQL Server to PostgreSQL database on AWS
- Build AI applications with .NET and Amazon Bedrock: This session will leave you well-prepared to build .NET generative AI applications that unlock the full potential of your data.
- .NET Immersion Day: Welcome to the .NET on AWS Immersion Day. The purpose of this set of labs and exercises is to introduce you to tools and services that you can use to develop, build and deploy .NET applications on AWS.
- Modernize and optimize an ASP.NET app in 2 hours: You are a .NET developer working on a legacy ASP.NET monolithic e-commerce application. You want to reduce license costs and improve development velocity by leveraging microservices and moving it to run on Linux containers. In this workshop, you'll learn how to use AWS assistive tools and services to modernize your applications by upgrading them to .NET, creating microservices, and running on Linux containers within two hours!
- Amazon EKS for .NET Workshop: This workshop guides you through a set of hands-on lab exercises to learn and explore the various features provided by EKS and how it integrates with the broader set of services offered by AWS.
- AWS Workshop - App2Container .NET Modernization Lab: This workshop is hands-on technical boot camp for AWS customers and partners who like to learn about AWS App2Container (A2C) . A2C allows you to quickly containerize your existing .NET and Java applications and deploy them on Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) with minimal efforts. The goal of this technical training is to make you comfortable with A2C to containerization and migrate ASP.NET web application to Amazon ECS. Although this course is not related to any specific AWS certifications, those at least pursuing an Associate-level certification are recommended to attend.
- Amazon CodeCatalyst for .NET applications Workshop: In this workshop, you will learn how you can use Amazon CodeCatalyst, a unified software development service, to collaborate with your team and deliver software applications quickly and confidently.
- ASP.NET microservices development on AWS: In this workshop you will create an ASP.NET Core microservice using .NET 6 and host it on AWS.

Active Directory
- Active Directory on AWS Immersion Day: A guide to deploying Active Directory (AD) on AWS, set up hybrid solutions, and set up Hybrid DNS. Security and compliance best practices for AD on AWS are also covered.
- Automate Active Directory Deployment on AWS: This Workshop covers the automated Active Directory Deployment on AWS via official Quickstart (that leverages CloudFormation & AWS System Manager) and Launch Wizard. Both modalities: Self-Managed and Managed Active Directory. As well, is covered the integration with additional Infra/DevOps AWS services to complement and boost a Well Architect Directory Services infrastructure, like Route 53 Resolver Endpoint, Amazon Image Builder and AWS CodeCommit (to be updated) services.
Windows Containers
- Windows Containers on AWS: In this workshop, you will learn how to deploy and manage an Amazon EKS cluster for Windows containers, handling different Windows versions in the same cluster, setting up gMSA for Kerberos authentication on Windows containers, and persistent storage through EBS volumes.

SQL
- SQL Server Immersion Day: Learn how to migrate your SQL workloads to AWS, running on EC2 or managed environments. You will also learn about best practices for storage solutions for your SQL workloads on AWS, and modernizing your SQL server toward Amazon Aurora.
- Modernize your .NET and SQL Server to PostgreSQL database on AWS (with GenAI): Many of .NET applications use SQL Server as a backend database. In this workshop, learn how to migrate SQL Server to Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL and modernize .NET applications for PostgreSQL using AWS Generative AI services. By the end of this workshop, you will understand what refactoring is needed in both the application code and database and how AWS services help to overcome common challenges with scalable techniques and solutions using GenAI.
- SQL Server 2014 Upgrade Automation: Upgrade SQL Server 2014 on EC2 instance using System Manager automation document
- Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server: In this workshop, we will explore and complete required steps before creating an Amazon RDS Custom for SQL Server instance.
