Examples built with Strands Agents SDK 1.52.0 and bedrock-agentcore 1.21.0. APIs may differ in other versions.
Tutorials on this site create prototypes, not production-ready systems. Before routing real users or data to any agent you build here, work through the Production Readiness checklist.
Tutorials
Step-by-step guides for common AgentCore tasks. Each tutorial takes 10–20 minutes and produces working code you can adapt.
Add Memory to Your Agent
Give your agent cross-session recall. Remember user preferences, facts, and conversation history with SEMANTIC and SUMMARIZATION strategies.
Connect a Tool via Gateway
Add external API access through AgentCore Gateway. Create a Lambda tool, register it, and call it from your agent via MCP.
These tutorials focus on individual capabilities — adding one AgentCore feature (Memory, Gateway) to an existing agent project. If you need an end-to-end implementation that covers project creation, deployment, and integrated workload behavior, start with the Quickstart and then explore the Workload Catalog for architecture patterns and full agent application flows.
Prerequisites
All tutorials assume you have:
- An existing agent project (start with the Quickstart if you don't have one)
- AgentCore CLI installed (
npm install -g @aws/agentcore) - AWS credentials configured
- Python 3.12+ and
uvinstalled
